Deer neighbours
Deep inside the Arctic Circle, where a landscape of crisp whiteness stretches for what feels like an eternity, you’ll find a reindeer ranch, where time-old traditions of reindeer herding still prevail. By the ranch, in this snowy desert, you’ll find another unique attraction: the glass cabin. It’s another thrilling and adventurous way to be part of the heart of Lapland and get closer to the region’s most famous inhabitants (not counting Father Christmas himself, of course)! Although the mild-natured reindeers are cautious and timid by nature, they are also curious about the glass cabins – who wouldn't be? – and will feel comfortable wandering over and exploring the small cluster of homes. Inevitably, you’ll fall in love with your new neighbours, as they meander around the cabins, casting their iconic silhouettes against the candescent glow of the Northern Lights, combining two of Lapland’s most famous attractions. The very presence of your four-legged friends serves as a reminder of time-honoured Lapland customs, held very dear (ahem). After all, it has been their home for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.
